A contractor that specializes in ONE trade. For example a painter, plumber, electrician, drywall, tile, landacping, etc. Operations include installation, service and repair on residential and commercial properties.
A contractor that performs jobs which encompass more than one trade. For example a custom home builder or remodeling contractor. Projects may include structural work. Trades can be performed by subcontractors. In many states, a license is required.

Property Preservation Contractors
A contractor that performs the securing, protecting, and preparing of properties for sale that have undergone foreclosure, default, or are in bank-owned status. This includes changing locks, boarding up windows, minor handyman repairs, debris removal, winterization, lawn and yard maintenance, cleaning and swimming pool maintenance.
A contractor that performs cleaning only.
A contractor that performs inspections only. No service, repair or remodeling.
